Gallery Books February Length: Related Articles. Resources and Downloads. Oh Brandi, you love to speak your mind. I watch her on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and she is definitely one of my favorites. She always says exactly what she's thinking in the show and she does the same in this book.
This book also has a lot of foul language my mother still giggles at the "F word" so I felt the need to give a warning. This book talks a lot about her divorce and her ex's new wife, sex, and all kinds of relationships family, friends, dating. Some people probably say she w Oh Brandi, you love to speak your mind. Some people probably say she wrote this book only to bash her ex husband and his new wife LeAnn Rimes. And you know what?
That's exactly what she did. But I think she had every right to. He cheated on her with numerous women. He ended up marrying the last woman she knows he cheated on her with. And he left her with close to nothing. Is that only her side of the story? But regardless of that, he still cheated. So I think he deserves much worse than having a book written about their divorce.
Was the book well-written? Not exactly. It was written in the way she speaks, which makes it a quick, easy read. My only complaint is her use of hashtags. It's a book. I understand that the word "tweeting" is in the title, but I think hashtags should only be used on twitter, and especially not in a book. Feb 18, Celise rated it really liked it Shelves: Brandi is refreshingly open about mental health, addiction, relationships, sex, and fame, even if her advice isn't necessarily sound in all areas.
Brandi is crass and as the title suggests, she makes a lot of mistakes, but she doesn't apologize for being human. Or for her plastic surgery choices. Feb 06, Erin rated it did not like it. This is such a silly book. I joined the library yesterday and as I was browsing the isles this book jumped out at me.
Real Housewives is my guilty pleasure and I had heard some positive reviews about this book. I wouldn't pay money to read it but figured it was worth checking out for free. This is basically a book she wrote to LeAnn Rimes and her ex-husband about the affair and divorce and how it affected her filled with jabs and sillyhashtags.
I was hoping for more juicy gossip about the hou This is such a silly book. I was hoping for more juicy gossip about the housewives but she didn't even mention the show until the last chapter. So thhhbbbbpppt I don't care about your cheating ex-husband, I want to read about the dirty secrets of the show and other housewives.
Oh well, at least it was a quick read. I kind of laughed to myself when I flipped through the pages for the first time because it looked like the whole thing was double-spaced with 2 inch margins. It was a welcome break from Pride and Prejudice and will keep me on my goal.
Feb 16, Mikey Dutton rated it it was amazing. I love Brandi. This book was a very candid and entertaining read. I liked that you could tell it was written by Brandi herself and not some random person she paid to write - the voice in the book sounded just like Brandi. I found myself totally immersed in this book and finished it in a matter of days. Not man I love Brandi. Not many people can talk with absolute honestly about their low points in life quite like Brandi.
Her honesty and humor make tragic situations extremely relatable and personal. I found myself identifying with Brandi a lot more than I expected. Such an honest, funny, and insightful book. I'm sure many will feel empowered by Brandi's advice. Feb 16, Kristen Bellomo rated it did not like it. I was interested to hear the other side of the story. However, it was unlike any other "other side of the story" I've ever read. A full dose of betrayed, followed by a double dose of bitter fills every page of this page book I love me a salacious read, but I wish I could have the time back that I spent reading this book.
It's like binging on an entire box of donuts Well I must admit that I do not know this woman, or better yet should I be proud that I do not know her? Yes I love reality TV but lately there are so many reality shows on that are not real but scripted. I want my reality TV to be reality! Among the is the Housewives of.. I did watch one show but I do not know which one.
It is with a Theresa a horrible woman. Okay I watched 2 seasons of The Housewives of new Jersey apparently. Anyway, so I do not know this woman Well I must admit that I do not know this woman, or better yet should I be proud that I do not know her? Anyway, so I do not know this woman but I looked this book up on amazon and it looked fun and it has great and I mean great reviews, so I am giving it a try.
So far she does amuse me. I will copy one of her sayings here. Okay I have to add another one although this means a lot more typing. Silly me, I thought he was playing a card game. I didn't realize that he was actually playing "poke her" I guess it is my fault for not asking him to spell it? If you like to hear some gossip and are not easily offended i think You'll enjoy this quick read. Mar 07, Rebecca Stephenson Chung rated it really liked it Shelves: Soooo first of all if you knew me personally, you would know that one of my guilty pleasures is the Real Housewives series on Bravo.
I mean its just so damn entertaining and ultimately shows that girls who grow up to be grown women still have issues and drama which is comforting on some level. And I, of course, have my favorite housewives- and isn't funny how now all the housewives have come out with some sort of product, book or line which they push and market on the show? As controversial as Br Soooo first of all if you knew me personally, you would know that one of my guilty pleasures is the Real Housewives series on Bravo.
As controversial as Brandi Glanville is on the show, she is my absolute favorite on the Beverly Hills franchise. Perhaps it is because she is the "underdog" and I always seem to root for the underdog in everything! I mean the way she talks on the show and is portrayed is clearly the real her in my opinion and that is what I love most about her. She is blunt and candid in the book and it is a great easy read. I think it is far better than alot of the other "housewives" attempt at writing.
Great read if you are a fan and want some funny fodder for the brain that requires no thinking or analyzing. Feb 13, Maddie Powell rated it liked it. Drinking and Tweeting was surprisingly very well written! I wanted to read it before LeAnn slapped her with a Cease and Desist of the book sales. When it was actually released yesterday I was shocked and thought it must not have very specific details about the Eddie and LeAnn affair but was I wrong! Brandi uses self deprecating humor but includes the juicy details of revenge and staging paparazzi photos of other parties.
Someone needs to send a copy to Adrienne Maloof… She will think twice before picking a fight with this girl! Feb 13, D. Teamor rated it really liked it. I have always held firm to the idea that no one can say anything negative about you if you candidly expose yourself on your own terms. Glanville has done this and more. News Special. Brandi has delivered the ultimate, "Checkmate" without spewing the least bit of scorned woman spittle!

Feb 16, Robin rated it really liked it. If you do not expect life altering prose or pulitzer-prize writing, you will enjoy this book. I feel like Brandi Glanville went through a ton of "stuff" over the past years and publishing this book is a huge part of her healing. She reminds me a lot of me Hopefully she can continue to move on with her life and receive all of the blessings she deserves.
After all - success is the best revenge. Feb 17, D rated it it was amazing. Pretty entertaining book. I never liked Leann, even before the cheating scandal. As for Brandi and Eddie, I never knew they existed.
With all the media attention on them, my curiosity got the better of me and I bought the book. I'm glad I did. For entertainment purposes only, the book was great. Although it was repetitive at times and all over the place I think the book did what it was supposed to do. It made Leann's and Eddie' s lives much more difficult and it got Brandi much needed cash. Feb 13, Sarah rated it really liked it.
I have to say that after reading this I just adore Brandi. As a doting wife and mother I can only imagine her pain.
Heartbreaking on every level. I wish her and her 2 little boys much happiness. Feb 15, Michele Stafford rated it it was amazing. Just what you would expect from Brandi!! Not everyone will appreciate this book, but if you e been through a divorce or bad break up, you will!!
Yes, she bashes her ex, but don't most of us?? She also keeps it light and doesn't take herself too seriously, which makes for a great read! Feb 28, Jen Borders rated it really liked it.
It's totally not a secret to anyone that knows me well that I love the Real Housewives franchise, and my fave seasons are always CA. This is a little beyond that, I have a serious girl crush on Brandi Glanville. Sure, she is completely nutty and says whatever comes to mind, usually the wrong thing in the wrong setting, but beneath all of that she is a mom, and loves her kids and tries to do what's best for them.
Drinking and Tweeting and Other Brandi Blunders
I enjoyed reading about her disasterous divorce to the douchey Eddie Cibrian and LOV It's totally not a secret to anyone that knows me well that I love the Real Housewives franchise, and my fave seasons are always CA. I mean really, they are disgusting. Hopefully, she finds some peace after all of this drama and is able to find love again with someone that appreciates her.
I had a lovely evening reading this, while my hubby watched a hockey game. Definitely not Jane Austen, but a fabulous quick read on a Tuesday night!
Feb 11, Sonia Reppe rated it really liked it Shelves: I've never watched Real Housewives but I've been watching Brandi Glanville on Celebrity Apprentice, and she did quite well, so I picked up this book and read it in one day. It was actually pretty tasteful considering she talks about her painfully ugly divorce. I felt bad for her; she was pretty candid and laid out her pain, and I love that; also she's resilient, and I love that too. How awful to have your husband's new marriage so public, and then having to see social media pics and magazine pic I've never watched Real Housewives but I've been watching Brandi Glanville on Celebrity Apprentice, and she did quite well, so I picked up this book and read it in one day.
How awful to have your husband's new marriage so public, and then having to see social media pics and magazine pics of your two kids with the new "bonus mom" Leanne Rimes, btw. Plenty of humor and self-deprecation. Jan 25, Jill rated it liked it Shelves: It was fine.
Not awesome, but fine. View all 9 comments. Feb 05, Julia rated it it was ok Shelves: I'm so embarrassed to admit that I read this book, but I was really bored during a two-plus hour wait at the doctor's office the other day, and I was tired, so reading about concentration camps in North Korea was just depressing me. If my husband ever happens to see I read this, I'll never hear the end of it In any case, thi I'm so embarrassed to admit that I read this book, but I was really bored during a two-plus hour wait at the doctor's office the other day, and I was tired, so reading about concentration camps in North Korea was just depressing me.
In any case, this is a super quick read. I finished about half of it in the two hour wait, and so it just seemed silly not to finish it.
I will say in defense of this book, it did read like something that Brandi Glanville actually wrote, and it wasn't just ghost written. Good for her. On the other hand, what was with all the bizarre hashtags throughout this book?
